Engine Coolant
Your engine coolant is designed to absorb heat, but over time your coolant breaks down and becomes less effective at absorbing this heat. When less heat is absorbed, friction increases, which puts your engine at risk of severe damage. Common symptoms of bad engine coolant include an overheating engine, poor performance, and low coolant levels. You may also notice that your coolant starts to boil within its reservoir. This is a sign that it needs to be flushed immediately.
Engine Oil

Similar to engine coolant, the heat from your engine causes this oil to break down and lose its ability to lubricate metal.
